New book on the way
29 July 2021
The text for my upcoming book, which is titled Star Trek Nation: An Englishman's View of America, currently runs to 62,000 words and is being proofread by Dianne; my excellent proof-reader who is based in the States. I have also been doing a number of illustrations, which, if I say so myself, I feel are also going well. Here is a passage from the introduction:
"So, what is the book about? It's about America; and how it can be understood, to a surprisingly large extent, through study of a TV series that debuted over half a century ago, but which it is possible you may have heard of (that is if Planet Earth is where you live). The show ran through a production run of three series, during which it gained relatively modest numbers of viewers. Consequently, it was cancelled and went into syndication, where it became a worldwide legend. It is called: Star Trek."
I am looking forward to a launch in autumn 2021. Details on a giveaway to go with the launch will be given as they become available.

To the left is a sketch of Gene Roddenberry I did, to give a flavour of the book's illustrations.
